You might have noticed that since September I don´t blog as much as I used to. The reason is Learn Avatar, one of my greatest discoveries in SL. Big thank you to Mackenzie who introduced me to Learn Avatar. I was sceptical like you probably are, how come it´s all free? there has to be a catch, what do they want? Blood, Souls? Money? But there is NO CATCH. Why it is all free, is because of a generous sponsor of land Rich Grainger from RGF

Learn Avatar has around 1000 members. You can be in the group and attend classes without getting land, or you can buy a starter plot of 512sqm and attend classes 2.5 hours minimum weekly to keep it. The starters are called Apprentice´s, the next step with the double size of land are called Builders/Scholars, above them the Mentors. There are 12 SIMS with different themes, meaning everything you build on those sims has to be according the sim rules and in theme of that sim. Each sim has it´s own Headmaster that monitors their residents, and keeps track on their class time, valuates their building style, is there for guidance and help. Last in the row but not the least are the Directors and Co-Directors that run the school.

10 of the 12 SIMs are PG Sims, and 2 are Adult rated - these are Romance and Gorean. Other themes are Ancient Civilizations, Asian, Atlantis, Fantasy, Goth, Grunge, Sci Fi, Tropical and Themeless 1 and 2. Themeless meaning all styles of buildings are allowed.

I am the headmaster over the 2 Themed SIMS Ancient Civilizations and Atlantis and you can read more about these themes as well as about Learn Avatar in General here.

This is a community of all level builders, who are there to help to teach and to learn from eachother. Anyone interested come and see for yourself, at the Head Office the big class schedule board is located at, among informations and a group joiner a big teleport portal to all the different sims for you to check out :) Seeing is believing so grab the schoolbus and see with your own eyes.

I wont be showing you all gifts from this hunt - since some weren´t out at the time I did the hunt, one store doesn´t wish for their gifts to be shown, some are gestures and one store on this hunt got me on their bann list for no reasons - so if you are a store owner and can´t see your gift being showned here it´s probably cause of one of these reasons

Thank You to all the Vendors for the great and original gifts and thank you Duchess Hunt Crew for a great hunt and a great group. Some stores where missing at the beginning of the hunt but with group efford the hint list was made and skippers where postet in the group so every hunter would have a pleasant hunt. Thank You Duchess, Laura, Nya and Baby plus all hunters that made this hunt be a pleasant one to do.

Now to the gifts :)

We got several outfits both for boys and girls, funny poses, art for our home and garden, skyboxes and scary halloween stuff :) Note this might be a kids hunt - but for all those young at heart I am sure you will find something for you on this hunt as well :) I´ve been wearing my outftis from this hunt on several occations - like in building class couple of days back and this lady asked me for a LM to the store where my spider shoes where from - giggles - but the pumpkin emitter hairdo I had to take off during another class since it was disturbing the teacher LOL. Yes I´m going to classes now :) wel lsince I am almost 7 I thought it was time to get some education in SL :D LOL and it´s so much fun - but I think I will tell you about that later - since here I wanted to show you some stuff I got from the G&G hunt :-D

Reason for the bannings are childish really - one store owner that now owns 1/3 of Zosta SIM didn´t agree with my opinion on my blog 3 months ago. Now her friends and family members decided to bann me from their stores as well. The reason for Twiple Twouble banning I don´t know and owner hasn´t really answeard my questions why.

I didn´t cause any drama nor grief at these stores or sims. I simply expressed my feelings and opinions on another kid hunt on this blog outside Second Life (3 months ago!) . Now having put together a hunt with Nena and organizing it and it´s a good hunt - no major problems - everything was ready when the clock stroke 12 at midnight - I know now the other side better - and the excuses I got why that particular hunt wasn´t ready are even more worthless now - when I know you can make a great hunt - even if it is your first. But ofcourse I´ve learnd a whole bunch from this work and what to do better the next time, cause you can always do better. I got to know some great store owners and really nice people along the way making this hunt. We had great fun putting it together. And hunting is still on and we still have alot of work to do to keep it the way it is :) The Hunters Group is rather quiet - cause people are getting on with the hunt thanks to the blog - the hint and LM list on the blog and that we update every problems asp. on the blog and in the group. Alot of hunters has joined in on this hunt - we see that on how often and how many have visited the blog and joined in on the group.

I´m happy and the gifts are great :-) so happy to see skins too on a kids hunt - I think this is the first time I see skins on one :-) We did send alot of applications to hair shops but sadly no Bella, Edward or Jacob hair :( maybe next time ;-)

Big Thank You to all participating stores and if you are one of the unlucky ones to be on the Zosta SIM and not agreeing with me being banned (well now I can tp to the landing points but I can´t purchase anything or look so far to see the hunt gifts to check on them or help hunters out that are stuck there :-( so this will all Nena have to do. I can´t even enter the main banning store to take me off their subscribo LOL I´ve been getting notecards and gifts since july from that store and throwing it away) - anyways if you don´t agree with my banning and your store is on the sim - let your landlord know you are paying rent too and let me know - then I will show your gift on the blog. Instead of guessing who is pro and who contra - I took the decision to show no gifts from any of the 6 stores located on the sim.

The act of banning will harm themself rather than me. I am sure I am not the only one that don´t want to do business with arrogant silly people that think they own the only store in the whole SL universe. It´s sad that the renting stores on a SIM don´t have a saying about who is allowed and not allowed to their own stores they are paying rent for. These are often little stores that really need the publisity from bloggers like me. And lets face it - there aren´t that many kid bloggers out there.

Let bygones be bygones - We gave these Shops a change to enter our hunt - even though I was still banned from or had been banned from or had disagreement in the past with some. Cause we should learn from the past and not dwell in it. A notecard was sent out concearning this before the hunt startet and these stores where accepted to be on our hunt.

Show us your Twilighters Look

All you have to do is to pick something from the hunt to wear - mix and match outfits would be great to see and take a nice picture. Either on on of the Twilight Themed SIMs (one gift has a notecard with 3 nice Landmarks to Twilight Themed sims ;-) guess where) or somewhere else.

R U L E S and H O W T O J O I N

Rule number one is that it has to be a kid avatar on the picture - grown up and kid is OK - like if you wanna redo a scene with Bella and her Dad in the film. All Pictures have to be PG.

Note your outfit must be made with the twilighters hunt gifts - Skin Hair and Shape may be your own - there are some skins on this hunt but I don´t think we got hairs.

How to enter:

Send us the Picture full perm in a notecard to nenaxoxo cheri or stjarney starsmith - adding your avatar name and what you are wearing and where it is from (see example below)

Pictures must be sent in before October 5th - so the Jury can pick the winners and winners can be noticed on our Hunts End Party exact Date, Time and Location will be published later

Note only full perm pictures please - if your picture isn´t full perm you are disqualified. We wont be running after you to get a full perm picture. We have enough things to do running around all hunt stores and helping out the hunters - hope you understand this.

You are allowed to work on your picture by using photo editing programms etc. Those of you that don´t know how they work - no worries - you all have the same changes to win. It´s about the best picture not the best photoshopped one ;-)

If you are wearing any copybotet things you will be disqualified - be sure you know where your things are from and include them on your stylecard. Winner and all participants please come in your outfits to the end party :) If we discover the winner we picked is wearing copybotet things he will be disqualified. Also if you don´t enter where your things are from - we can´t accept your picture.

Example for stylecard (include this in your notecard or email):

skin - hunt gift from #? Storename

hair - my own, name of hair and storename

shoes - gift from #? storename

skirt - part of gift from #? storename

etc.

Picture Location: name of the sim and slurl to it, if the picture was taken in a photostudio you can just write taken in my own photostudio or at my home etc. Nice thing would be to take your picture inside some of the gifts or on some of the gifts - there are plenty of furnitures and a skybox on the hunt you can use on your picture

#72 Silenced - made a pretty Bella Teen Skin extra for this Hunt and she really cought the Bella vibe I think :)

#60 GARAGE is maybe the most grown up skin of all three - with a colourfull shades and glossy lips - but when you are wearing a happy colour dress I think it will look really pretty too

#69 E.T.C. Kidz has one gift for the boys and these two pale skins with and without frinkles. Both very pretty and maybe the most kiddie skins of these three. The frinkles look so cute but without too :)

Noticed the cool eyes with Edward reflecting in them :-) available from Bella´s Twilight Boutique for only 50L$ and for every Team ;-) Bella´s Twilight Boutique is number 12 on thie Hunt.

With the Twilighters Hunt in my Back all the time ;-) I hardly have time for anything else, updating the blog and preparing the hunt so it will be a good hunt that will run smoothly from day one. But on my TP jumps today, I took a detour to a store that is not on the hunt and had a big yummy bite from their Lucky Cupcake at Absolute Girls and got lucky ;-) Lovely star summer dress with a fitting hat I love. Feeling like Anne of Greene Gables with blond hair instead of red ;-)
Somehow I want to be blond these days - or maybe just because it fits so nicely to my summerly dress :-) Autum has arrived and the days are getting colder and wetter.
I gotta go on with my list now :) blowing my nose and sipping my hot tea fighting my autum cold. At least in SL I can still enjoy the warm sunbeams and be outside without having to wear a scarf and a jacket.

The Radioactive Kidz SIM is holding a small hunt in some of the shops there. There are several little pink gladiolus (flowers like on picture) hidden around the sim inside the shops and outside. Be sure to check if the store has this sign on, cause not all stores on the sim are participating.

I have no idea how many there are but you get a variety of gifts from blinkies, neko tails, outfits and butterfly wings as presents. Beside this there are several freebies and luckyboards there and alot of cute little shops - some are only found on this sim others have a mainstore somewhere else. Be sure to walk around and take a look at all the stores on this sim and explore.

This will also be the Twilighters hunt start sim in September.

I Wanna Shine Like a Star in Heaven

Today I met very friendly and helpfull vampires (must be related to the Cullen´s), lost souls of Yürei´s - japanese ghosts - got lost in a super horrible labyrinth - a haunted hospital and it took me hours to find my way into the light (goal). I took one lost girl ghost with me but there are plenty there left for you to help. But be warned it´s scary and you see some ghosts, skeletons and bloody things. So it´s not really the best place for kids.

At the entrance on the right there are two boxes with patient clothes inside - a pink one for girls and a blue one for boys for free.

Here is the door to the scary maze hospital - do you dare opening it?

I found this dress on xstreet and wantet to do first a picture at a vampire place (cause I was still in twilight mood ;-)) - I met some really nice vampires from the WeRBlood Family - talked to the queen even had a duke who was gonna show me the sim for my picture takings :) They gave me a garlic necklace so nobody would want to bite me - but looking like a pale ghost I doubt anyone would have wantet to take a bite ;-) But there were some SL Problems and I couldn´t enter the sim :( Then I found this haunted hospital and had a great time. But if you are more into vampires this vampire family does have kid vampires as well - but only with their families and never alone. I never met a vampire child - would be cool :) I also found some lovely Twilight Themed sim (Forks) - like remake of Bellas town - and even saw 2 avatars named Bella and Edward - giggles -

I must say the people I met today should have scared me and made my hairs rise up. But I was pleasently surprised how polite and nice the vampires where and helpfull the people at the maze where - trying their best even with a translator. Thank you Lionhard Fhang. Domo Arigato どうもありがとう

In Japan - the scariest ghosts are little girls dressed in white and have black long hair covering their faces - hospitals and schools are a popular haunted place. And since films like "The Ring" or "The Grudge" the rest of the world now knows what´s the scariest thing the japanese can imagine. I am sure for many these aren´t the scariest things about japan - some run for their lifes when they see all the kitch made in japan or from the sumo´s - in japan sumo wrestler are thought to be so cute and cuddly - well they do look like huge teddy bears ;-) I had alot of fun today being an european ghost girl helping out japanese ghosts going through the haunted hospital maze - finding our way to go into the light. I fell down 2 times and had to go back up - but thanks for Lionhard I got a hint to find my way out to the goal ;-).

I love labyrinths and I did a blogpost about another labyrinth way back. I´m not sure that still exists thought. But I thing this one was the scariest one I´ve been in till today. But you know what in RL Japan you can also visit a haunted hospital maze but its probably more scary than this one and not allowed for kids. There are actors playing in there and you get lost and for some it takes forever to get out again. I wanna visit it thought - when I am bigger - giggles - but I bring my mummy with me then - she never watch horror movies - too scared *giggles* But she loves ghost whisperer - although it does scare her alot - but she means when the ghosts get guided into the light - everything ends well and she can sleep afterwards. So I´ll tell her it´s a bit like that - finding the lost souls in the maze and guide them into the light ;-) Maybe we start with going back to Juryo.

In the end you don´t need to worry - all souls and spirits make it home into the light

Just for Kids Hunts is a new Huntgroup that is planning a new kids hunt every month :-D This is the first hunt and they did a great job. The Blog has hints, storelinks and landmarks, the group is helpfull and friendly and all problems are postet in group as soon as they come up. Tickets! Because what fun is an arcade without the ability to exchange little bits of cardboard for rubber spiders?

This roll is an attachment that you wear. While worn, you'll be able to earn tickets when you play games in this arcade -- these tickets can then be redeemed at the prize counter for various toys, clothes, wearable gadgets, and even furniture. (These tickets will not be redeemable at other arcades you may visit.)

To redeem, browse the prizes in the desktop vendors. There may be prizes for 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 tickets. Use the arrows to browse forward and back in the lists, then click on the prize to buy it! (You'll get a confirmation box, so don't worry about accidental buys.) The cost in tickets will be deducted from your roll, and you'll get the prize!

Also worth noting...

* Be sure to wear your tickets before you play, or earned tickets won't be recorded.

* Be sure to wear your tickets when redeeming for prizes, or nothing will happen.

Mynerva is a young store in SL - she makes skins and shapes for kids and grown ups among other things. I went over there after seeing Candy Doll use one of her shapes on her new kid skins line I blogged about earlier. Not only is the shop super cute made - with lots of rooms and even a doll house in one corner (btw a freebie from Junemoon). I went upstairs and as I saw this super cute backpack - I had to have it. The Ape blinks his eyes and by touch the hearts burst and a little banana with a face appears and follows you around (only on Sims where you have building rights). I fell in love instantly and he is backing my back these days :D

On my Blogpost about Mackenzie´s Attic - I noticed her advertisements for other Kids stores. Pink Promice is a pretty new store on SL as well I think. I TPd over and had a pleasant surprice - the store sticks to it´s name - pink and cute little shop on 2 floors. Outside there are 2 camping chairs (70 and 80min camp) and 3 freebie boxes (including this dress glasses plus a flower for your hair) Luckyboard that changes letters every 10 min and a MM Board. So alot of extra gifts for you to pick up. The clothes are not exspensive so you can buy 2 or 3 outfits where you pay the same for one in other shops. Plus they had this cute holding hand pose - perfect for pictures. She is participating on the Back To School Hunt with a great gift - a pack of skateboards in 6 different colours with a sparkling star (hence check upstairs ;-)).

My friend Dom who did the the Summer Rock Hunt with me hopped on my new poseball as we were taking the hunt gift pictures - I wanted a Besty-Picture of us also to try out the pose :-D. He is wearing one of the gifts from the Hunt.

Back To School - KIDS HUNT

As always I am always very happy and excited when a hunt is starting that´s only for kids. But this hunt and the attitude of the hunt organizer made me sad. When a hunt has a start day - it should at least be out at the start location on that date (we all are spread all over the world - but the SL - Time and Calender should be something to stick to - if nothing else is given out). And if the first one isn´t out - or really hard to find - people loose their joy on the hunt and may quit right away. If the example hunt item is giant - you expect it to be like that hidden in the store and not tiny hidden in the backroom on the shelf.

I did IM the organizer for more infos about if there was a hunt group, a blog or anything (update: she claims IMs got capped and she never got my IM - can happen - I have my offline IMs redirected to my email account to avoid this - so feel free to leave me an offline IM). Since the Hunt Sign only gave the first LM out and later the path to join the group. Yay at least a group - and I ditched one of my 25 groups to join - finding only a sorry note from the organizer - cause she was on vacation and just came back. ohhhh another crash-test-dummy hunt where the hunters have to be the test drivers. As the Organizer finally showed up in the group - I ofcourse asked her some questions, concearning the hunt. She had no idea if all items where up or if all stores had their gifts out or even where they where hidden to give the hunters hints. And there are on this hunt pretty sneaky hidden hunt gifts and big stores and big sims on it. So for places like Lemondrop Forest or Photon´s castle or even CCC hunters NEED hints. I think hints are part of the fun a hunt gives you. It´s not just about a bunch of greedy freebie-hunters who are ungratefull and rude *lol* a hunt group is great to find new friends, and have some fun beside getting help when needed, hints and LMs if you need to skip a store that isn´t ready yet or out of hunt.

But sadly - the hunt organizer had more important things to do but could pass on a LM saying - she is always there if people need help. Well not 24/7 I´m sure of. And as I asked if we could at least get a Notecard with a LM list - she sayd she has a notecard like that (yeah she should after all she is the organizer) and some special people that are gonna blog the hunt for her as well. Well we are all special - and after getting all the gifts I made my own notecard with my own hints to share with my co-hunters. So if you need help or want the notecard just IM me :D or use the links to the shops you can see under my pictures - note these are only LMs no cheat-slurls. So all shop owners can calm down.

There is one confusion about gifts from store #14 and #15 - and I am sure you agree with me - By store #14 the LM was called #14 1of2 and then every hunter assumes there is another gift called #14 2of2 - or am I wrong? At that store I however found #15 2of2 - so I asked in the group. Store #15 is inside store #14 thats why she named them this way. This is totally confusing cause where there is a gift #15 2of2 you would expect a gift #15 1of2. I tried to explain this to her - but she didn´t understand me I guess. It would have been so easier to call the whole store #14 and the gifts 1of2 and 2of2 or just name them #14 and #15 with a note saying #15 is in the same store. Or something - cause later at store #29 and #30 - it´s again the same store but first gift is in the girl appartment and the other one in the boys appartment.

I guess and I know from talking with other hunters - people where unhappy about this hunt. Kids are spoiled through well organized hunts by Family Friendly, SLD-Kids Huntgroup and Duchess Hunts. So I guess she did get alot of complaints - as she sent out this note:

I'm getting complaints from the shopowners, and even from other hunters about how rude a few people are being and quite frankely it is disrespectful for you guys to be complaining when all of us did this so you can get some FREE stuff. Lay off of me.. and more importantly LAY OFF of the store owners. Some of them are wanting to pull out of the hunt all together, and if thats going to be the case, i'll just shut the whole thing down. Play Nice. Have Fun. It's just a hunt. (and its the FIRST DAY!

Well again - I have noticed SL is nothing near to a democracy - and making a point or trying to say how hunt organizers usually work before a hunt starts or asking the organizer to tp over to check out the location - where you cant find anything - to be able to fix it and contact the store owner. Cause Hunter´s aren´t suppose to do the work of the organizer. This makes me sad - cause hunters give up and never get to the stores further in the back of the hunt. That´s why I decided to post with the pictures store names and LMs to those stores.

A reason a hunt is done - is for store owners to promote their stores - get more customers and give a sample of their designs. If a hunt organizer has this attitude about hunters - why the h$&%$ is she doing a hunt for?

Note: 2 is a worm eating pose includes the worm iiiihhh *giggles* 4 guitar Dom is playing is from gift 40 - when you touch it you get alot of instruments - but note they are big - since they are made for grownies :-( 5 comes in few colours, 6 has more poses than the sleepy one, 12 has many building blocks

Our favorite gifts on this hunt where the backpack from Cute Bytes (38), the rock outfit (4), and the rock-n-roll stage (40) just whish they had made the instruments kid fitting, the bike (42), the hair with 3 hats (39), Dom liked the worm (2) lol, I thought he looked so cool in (3) from vicarious vitae (33) and in (13) the baseball outfit, oh well sooo many great gifts (19) the tool table, the boys desk (15) would have been great with a chair and some animations... you can put it all in the skybox from Larnia Kids (10) and more and more

Hey it´s me again - still wearing my leg and arm cast - but that doesn´t keep me from travelling and discovering new places for you :-)

but there has been some changes

Today I´m gonna introduce you to a new Kids Club an Shopping Mall called
K&G Sweet Tooth Club and Shopping Mall

View from the stage - note the 2 shops in the end are still available to rent

It´s really cute made and has some pretty shops there too - mostly these are bigger shops with bigger shops somewhere else (LM giver in every shop) but you could say they put their creme de la creme up here for you to enjoy.

What I like the most about this club and shopping mall is the low lag - of course there is always some lag depending on SL but I haven´t had any problems with lag or rezz or glue walkin.
I hope with the club full it stays the same

I walked around and shot some snapshots of the stores for you
But although 1 picture says more than 1000 words
seeing it for yourself is always the best ;-)
so grab the Taxi and get some of the free gifts in the stores while at it
